NABA announces the launch of its Semester Abroad Programmes 2025. Dedicated to international students interested in exploring design culture and artistic experimentation at the best Italian Academy of Fine Arts and one of the Top 100 institutions worldwide in the Art & Design field (QS World University Rankings®), the programmes offer the opportunity to spend a term in the Academy’s Campus in Milan, with its dynamic creative system and renowned excellences, or in Rome, a city that blends a unique historical heritage with a contemporary artistic and cultural production.
Attendees will have the opportunity to join classes with students coming from all over the world and take part in courses in different fields, such as communication and graphic design, design, fashion design, media design and new technologies, set design, and visual arts.
Semester Abroad Programmes Academic Calendars
NABA offers the chance to choose between two different academic calendars to meet the needs and requirements of students and universities worldwide.
The Dedicated Academic Calendar follows the US academic cycle, and the Academic Year runs from September to May. Dedicated Programmes allow students to partially customise their curricula (study plans), which will become effective only after receiving formal approval from NABA. Study plans must be submitted via e-mail to semesterabroad@naba.it for approval. The Semester Abroad Programmes within the Dedicated Calendar are available at both the Milan and Rome campuses and are taught in English.
The Integrated Academic Calendar follows the academic cycle of Italy and major EU countries, running from September to July. Integrated Programmes are not customisable, but allow students to join regular classes and follow the study path alongside NABA degree students. Students can choose between Spring and Fall semesters and between the 2nd and 3rd year, depending on their academic level. The Semester Abroad Programmes within the Integrated Calendar are available at both the Milan and Rome campuses in English and Italian.
