NABA is pleased to announce that Isabel Mazzolini, student of the BA in Media Design and Multimedia Arts, was decorated with the Audience Award for her short movie “Pillow” at the 60th San Francisco State University Film Finals, during an international exchange period she spent there.
“Pillow” revolves around Mathias, a child who never met his mother, and sometimes pretends to remember her while she tells him bedtime stories even if he cannot recall her face. At the same time, Matias’s father protects him by not revealing the terrible truth about her. “Pillow” tries to explore visually the concepts of identity through language and family dynamics.
Film Finals is the School of Cinema’s annual showcase of the best films made by Cinema students at San Francisco State University during the Academic Year.
