From the NABA workshops to the home screens, "Where the Leaves Fall" - the thesis short by Xin Alessandro Zheng, You Guolin and Lorenzo Lorenzini - is available on-demand on the MUBI platform from November 6. For the first time ever, more than 12 million arthouse film enthusiasts can watch a Media Design and New Technologies Area project.
"Where the Leaves Fall" took advantage of director and NABA lecturer Marianna Schivardi's tutorship. By facing the uprooting theme, the audiovisual project tells the story of a second-generation Italian-Chinese boy who brings his father's ashes to his birthplace. Back in 2020, "Where the Leaves Fall" was selected for the Venice International Film Critics' Week in the SIC@SIC (Short Italian Cinema @ Settimana Internazionale della Critica) section – an initiative that supports the development of new Italian cinema and promotes young authors.
