NABA at the Venice Film Festival 2024: The “Le vie dell’immagine” award to Marjane Satrapi and the Masterclass with the winner

The “Le vie dell’immagine” award was established to celebrate cinema with those who create it, support it, watch it, study it, promote it, and tell its story. NABA, Cinematografo, and Giornate degli Autori will present the award to Marjane Satrapi – a multifaceted figure in the international artistic landscape. Born in Iran and naturalised French, Satrapi is a cartoonist, director, screenwriter, and illustrator known for her graphic novel "Persepolis." The book, which depicts the life and conditions of women in Iran after the Islamic Revolution, was adapted into a film in 2007, directed by Satrapi herself and Vincent Paronnaud.

On September 3 at 3 PM in the Laguna Room (via Pietro Buratti 1, Lido di Venezia), the awardee will feature in a Masterclass with free access by reservation only, subject to availability. The session will include Emiliano Fasano (NABA lecturer) and Fabio Ferzetti (movie critic) as moderators.
