On the occasion of Milan Fashion Week S/S 2025, NABA is pleased to present the second edition of SHOWROOM – MASTER OF ARTS in FASHION DESIGN - an event open to the public and industry professionals taking place on September 16 and on September 17 from 10 AM to 7 PM in the NABA Campus in Milan (Via C. Darwin 20), Room G 0.4. During the event, students of the MA in Fashion Design will showcase their collections created at the culmination of their studies. This Master of Arts aims to define and guide the students' vision through projects that demonstrate their ability to manage research methodologies, design, prototyping, and representation in a coherent, autonomous, and professional manner within the field of fashion design.
SHOWROOM – MASTER OF ARTS in FASHION DESIGN: the purpose of the event and the collections on display
The event, curated by Alessandra Modarelli (Art Director and NABA Lecturer) and promoted by Colomba Leddi (Fashion Design Area Leader) and Luca Belotti (Fashion Design Postgraduate Programmes Course Leader), with the support of Michele Corradini (BA in Fashion Design Course Leader), Intissar Bouhi, and Daniele Mattiuz (Fashion Design Academic Assistants), was conceived to create a moment of sharing and reflection, opening up for the first time to the broader city. SHOWROOM – MASTER OF ARTS in FASHION DESIGN tells stories of culturally international influences at the Milan Campus of the Academy, which for over forty years has been a vibrant centre of creative thought in the Navigli area of Milan, reminding everyone how the language of fashion can still be a powerful message of resilience.
Students will have the opportunity to engage with professionals, companies, journalists, stylists, buyers, and the broader community by presenting their garments and related materials produced during the course (fashion books, visual books, material folders, accessories, etc.).
SHOWROOM – MASTER OF ARTS in FASHION DESIGN: the jury selection for Fashion Graduate Italia 2024
A jury—comprising journalists, lecturers, industry professionals, and, for the first time this year, members of the public—will evaluate the more than thirty collections on display, including garments and accessories, created under the guidance of lecturers Andrea Cammarosano with Grazia Alessandro and Geny Iorio, Aldo Lanzini with Cielo Lien and Marta Santambrogio, Gloria Bertuzzi, and the entire NABA Fashion Lab staff. From these, eight collections will be selected to be presented on October 24 at 11:45 AM at BASE Milano in a runway show titled Designers and Makers, NABA Fashion and Textile, featuring the works of the MA in Fashion Design students, as part of Fashion Graduate Italia. This event, promoted by Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda ETS, will also include a booth showcasing students' projects from the NABA MA in Textile Design.
