The REF and the project by NABA and Studio Mistaker
The Romauropa Festival is a contemporary art event with a hybrid offer ranging from dance, theatre, music, cinema, visual arts and technology. This year, the programme of the Nuovi Formati section includes the Design Talks curated by Stefano Cipolla (art director - L'Espresso) and Studio Mistaker. It is an opportunity to face the new trends in graphic design experimentation, which is the core of the Festival's visual research. During the event, Mauro Bubbico (Graphic Designer), Domenico Romeo (Artist and graphic designer), Gianluca Alla (Graphic Designer) and Michela Picchi (Multidisciplinary artist) will take the floor.
Here, the protagonists will also be the experimental posters by Rome campus students of the BA Program in Graphic Design and Art Direction. Created during a workshop with Martina Tariciotti (Co-Founder and Designer - Studio Mistaker), their artworks will set up the space. The project has been coordinated by Assunta Squitieri (BA in Graphic Design and Art Direction Advisor Leader at the Rome campus). It is inspired by the REF's multidisciplinary approach to the arts and provides an interpretation of its disciplines. The artworks intertwine traditional print and digital media, static and animated visuals. Then, they will brighten up the NABA Rome campus. By reservation at initiatives.roma@naba.it, it will be possible to visit them from October 9 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
NABA partecipates in the eighth edition of Rome Art Week - event dedicated to contemporary art, which will take place from 23 to 28 October - with New Graphic Landscape Exhibition.
