An opportunity to bring young authors' and filmmakers' ideas to cinema and TV professionals' attention: for the fourth year in a row, NABA and Fondazione Cinema per Roma launch the Z-PITCH contest at Rome Film Fest. On October 22 from 5:30 PM, the contest will be presented at the spazio LAZIO, TERRA DI CINEMA della REGIONE LAZIO

Auditorium Parco della Musica (Viale Pietro de Coubertin 30, Rome). Entrance is open to the public with prior booking. It will also be possible to follow the presentation live on the Academy's YouTube channel.

Z-PITCH: the audio-visual storytelling contest and the presentation event

Z-PITCH is a competition aimed at current students and recent graduates from Film and Media Design Schools in Italy, organised in collaboration with the Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli,  Scuola d’Arte Cinematografica. The contest seeks to highlight the training and creativity of the new generation in the audiovisual field, fostering connections between professionals and emerging talents. It targets Generation Z and those wishing to submit audiovisual storytelling projects, whether feature films or series, that address contemporary and relevant themes. All submissions must be original and unproduced works.

Interested students are invited to submit their proposals from December 2, 2024, to February 28, 2025. A panel of faculty members and industry professionals will evaluate these submissions. The authors of the top seven projects will have the opportunity to participate in a day of advanced masterclasses and training in preparation for a live pitching session. To mark the competition's launch, a presentation talk will take place on October 22, featuring a panel of speakers, including Vincenzo Cuccia (NABA Media Design and New Technologies Area Leader), Francesca Staasch (BA in Film and Animation lecturer at the Rome campus), Alexia De Vito (Special Projects—Fondazione Cinema per Roma), and Antonella Salvatore (NABA School Director—Rome).
