On Wednesday, November 6, starting at 11:00 AM at Teatro Gerolamo in Milan (Piazza Cesare Beccaria 8), NABA will introduce the city to the biennial initiative “P+ARTS (Partnership for Artistic Research in Technology and Sustainability)” with a public programme that includes in-depth discussions through thematic panels featuring key figures from the cultural and business sectors, along with exclusive performances. Art, design, performance, and music are just some of the creative fields that “P+ARTS” involves within the AFAM (Alta Formazione Artistica, Musicale e Coreutica) network, aimed at establishing artistic research, both nationally and internationally, as a methodology with multiple applications.

The biennial initiative, funded by Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienza (PNRR), positions NABA as the lead institution in a project joined by other prestigious Milanese and national institutions, including Fondazione Accademia Teatro alla Scala, Conservatorio “Giuseppe Verdi” in Milan, Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli, Accademia di Belle Arti di Bari, Conservatorio di Musica “E.R. Duni” of Matera, IAAD Istituto di Arte Applicata e Design, SAE Institute Milan, Politecnico di Bari, Libera Università di Bolzano, along with numerous associated partners such as Villa Arson and Fondazione Pino Pascali.
The programme of biennial activities, many of which will take place in Milan, will be presented during the event on November 6, which in the afternoon opens to the public with three in-depth thematic panels, each lasting one hour, along with performances curated by the Accademia Teatro alla Scala and the Conservatorio “Giuseppe Verdi” in Milan. The afternoon discussions, from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM, will host distinguished guests to explore the themes of female curatorship at 2:30 PM, the artistic research as a methodological and interdisciplinary practice at 4:00 PM, and the increasingly inseparable relationship between business and culture at 5:30 PM.
The programme boasts contributions from notable speakers, including Marco Scotini (NABA Visual Arts Department Head), Lucia Pietroiusti ( Head of Ecologies - Serpentine ), Costanza Miliani (Director of Istituto di Scienze del Patrimonio Culturale - ISPC - of CNR), Francesco Chiaravalloti (Cultural Management lecturer at the Amsterdam University), Paola Dubini (Director of CLEACC - Corso di Laurea in Economia per le Arti, la Cultura e la comunicazione at Università Bocconi) and Paolo Petrocelli (Superintendent of the Dubai Opera), joining remotely.
