NABA announces its collaboration with Hard Rock Cafe® Milan, renowed dining chain founded in London in 1971. This partnership has culminated in creation of an exclusive capsule collection, launched at an immersive event yesterday featuring a series of inspirational talks by designers, NABA students, and fashion and music industry influencers, alongside live musical performances and thematic cocktail tastings. Developed by students from NABA Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design, the collection offers an array of apparel and accessories that merge a youthful and innovative aesthetic with the authentic rock ethos of Hard Rock Cafe.

NABA capsule collection for Hard Rock Cafe® Milan: the students’ work

The NABA capsule collection is distinguished by an exceptional fusion of elements related to art and music, reimagining the brand's iconic pieces in a collection designed to captivate its enthusiasts. The BA in Fashion Design students involved in the project were divided into five groups. They engaged with the history and specific language of Hard Rock Cafe brand and, through their experiences, explored key themes that connect Milan to youth culture. Consequently, the fashion and design capital inspired unique, sophisticated cuts and fits. Graffiti from the city's outskirts has been reinterpreted as raw-cut effects and spray-paint graphics, while the provocative spirit of the Memphis movement has been transformed into a stylised and colourful skyline printed on sweatshirts, t-shirts, and accessories. The night kiosks crowded with youths just leaving nightclubs have inspired the creation of functional accessories associated with the clubbing world. Finally, the underground music scene and the ballroom movement have come to life on scarves and bandanas in acid colours. These original inspirations have been translated into industrialised garments, thanks to collaboration with local manufacturers.
