One of the most significant extracurricular events of the Academic Year, the Design Marathon, has concluded its sixteenth edition. Held at NABA’s Milan campus from January 17 to 19, this 48-hour intensive workshop took place over a weekend and involved a selection of NABA’s top students, divided into multidisciplinary teams, working alongside prominent national and international brands and companies. 

The partner for this edition of the workshop was evvoli, a dynamic young brand known for its innovative and human-centric approach to home appliances and consumer electronics. With a strong presence in the Middle Eastern market, evvoli has rapidly gained recognition for combining Italian-inspired craftsmanship with smart, functional solutions that simplify everyday life. 

NABA Design Marathon #16: the purpose of the intensive workshop 

Participants in the Design Marathon #16 included third-year students from the Bachelor of Arts programmes, as well as first- and second-year students from the Master of Arts and Academic Master programmes within NABA’s Design and Communication and Graphic Design Areas. 

During the workshop, 10 teams, each consisting of 5 students, competed to develop the most innovative strategies and campaigns for taking the partner brand, evvoli, to the next level. Here are the winning teams, announced at the conclusion of the workshop:  

1st PRIZE was awarded to the group “Expresso. The team members were:

SPECIAL MENTION was awarded to the group “Design Titans. The team members were:

SPECIAL MENTION was also awarded to the group “The Last Tail”. The team members were:

The winners of the 1st Prize were awarded €4,000, while the two groups receiving Special Mentions were each awarded €1,500. Additionally, all participants in the Design Marathon earned 2 extracurricular credits.
