On the occasion of Fashion Graduate Italia 2024 – one of the most important national events for emerging designers, taking place from 22 to 24 October at BASE Milano (Via Tortona 54) – whose main theme for the tenth edition is “Eyes Wide Open”, NABA will present “Designers and Makers”, the Graduates Fashion Show featuring projects from the MA in Fashion Design, and the Fashion Showcase featuring projects from the MA in Textile Design from the Academy's Milan campus.

On 24 October, from 11:45 AM at BASE Milano, “Designers and Makers”, NABA's Graduates Fashion Show, will showcase eight collections from the MA in Fashion Design, created by students Yi Chen, Giovanni Fazzini, Altea Sofia Lunetta, Alper Aslan Okçu, Berrak Zeynep Okyar, Dilara Övet, Ghazal Yazdanpanah, and Liu Yufei. Industry professionals and NABA Faculty selected these collections during the two-day “SHOWROOM. MASTER OF ARTS in FASHION DESIGN” event, which took place at the NABA campus during the recent Milan Fashion Week to present the final collections.
The outfits will create an aesthetic narrative with an international scope, reflecting cultural influences in works characterised by research and experimentation on shapes, textile and material manipulation. NABA’s Graduates Fashion Show will also be streamed live on the Academy’s YouTube channel.

The Fashion Showcase, under the artistic direction of Alessandra Modarelli (NABA lecturer), will be held from 22 to 24 October, from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM at BASE Milano. It will transform into a textile installation highlighting the craftsmanship, techniques, and tools typical of NABA’s Textile Design Lab. Thanks to the established collaboration with the historic Como-based company Mantero Seta, developed through the NABA Mentorship Project with Mantero Seta, the walls of the booth will be covered in silk twill surfaces that, through a visual trompe-l’oeil, expand the boundaries of the space, evoking the Academy's environment.
Textile artefacts will be displayed in a dialogue between form and content, showcasing curatorial projects by students from the MA in Textile Design: Kübra Aydinli, Anna Rosa Confuorti, Noemi Gennarino, Ayşe Katilmiş, Maria Paula Muñoz Rivas, Federica Raso, Yingjun Ren, Giovanna Roselli, Avik Sethi, and Yuchu Shen. Through the use of print, the students offer a visual narrative of their artistic and manual expression in the field of textiles and knitwear.
