NABA at the epda Junior Award Future Packaging 2024
The epda Junior Award Future Packaging 2024 competition was born from the need to focus on sustainability and enhance the consumer experience through innovative packaging solutions. This year’s theme, Crack the Codes, encourages breaking away from traditional approaches associated with existing market products and renowned brands, exploring entirely different paths. Participants were urged not to limit themselves to the values typically applied to specific product categories but instead to embrace the language and vision of Speculative Design.
Here are the selected projects by NABA students from the Packaging Design specialisation within the BA in Graphic Design and Art Direction, developed under the supervision of NABA lecturers Fabrizio Bottarelli Bernasconi, Paolo Cazzola, Luca Giulio Ferreccio, and Francesca Labrini:
- Junior Golden Award 2024: “Taboo” by Elisa Bertagnin, Eleonora D'Agaro, Marianna Carrafa
- Silver Award: “Luminé” by Maria Rudenko, Anna Sorensen
- Bronze Award: “Kaos” by Victoria Arioli, Beatrice Carugo, Giulia Pes
- Honorary Mention: “HelpMEal” by Silvia Senaldi, Ludovica Gandolfi, Ludovica Di Stefano
- Nominees: “Flux” by Sveva Perrone, Giulia Fornara, Giulia Rigone
The awards ceremony for the selected projects took place on December 13 at the NABA Campus in Milan, featuring speeches by Sylvia Vitale Rotta (epda President - TEAM CRÉATIF GROUP, France) and Rob Vermeulen (epda Design School Contact - VERMEULEN DESIGN, Netherlands).
