The work and multimedia research of Auriea Harvey
Auriea Harvey combines digital and physical processes to create sculptures in tangible space and mixed reality. Her subjects are mythological characters and shapes of the Mediterranean sculptural tradition. Those elements merge with three-dimensional scans of herself. Becoming chimaeras, they mutate and transform. The final work is a narrative throughout space, volumes and movement. Virtual and physical sculptures, drawings and simulations combining 3D printing, AR, VR and craft practices: cross-medial experimentation is at the core of Auriea Harvey's research.
