The Academy is pleased to announce the winners of the two Prizes of Study dedicated to supporting women in the Arts, offered as part of the initiative Carolina Herrera x NABA: supporting Women’s creativity. This project was promoted by the renowned New York brand Carolina Herrera and its iconic fragrance celebrating women’s empowerment, Good Girl

“Carolina Herrera x NABA: supporting Women’s creativity” – the project promoting female employment in the arts, design, and creativity

The Carolina Herrera x NABA: supporting Women’s creativity project, part of the Carolina Herrera for Women in the Arts programme aimed at fostering female creativity in all its forms, offers two Prizes of Study dedicated to female students and individuals who, while not identifying with the gender assigned at birth, recognise themselves as women and have activated the Alias Career at NABA’s Milan and Rome campuses. Participants were all enrolled in the Third A.Y. 2024/2025 of a NABA Bachelor of Arts programme, from both Italian and English-taught courses.

The project aimed to promote female employment and equal opportunities in the fields of arts, design, and creativity and the winners were given the chance to take part in an HR coaching session with the HR team at Puig’s Milan headquarters, preparing them to approach the professional world within multinational companies.

This creative journey encouraged participants to challenge themselves by reimagining the iconic stiletto design of Carolina Herrera’s “Good Girl” fragrance in all its possible expressions, using traditional tools or the most innovative digital technologies. These inspirations were then translated into creative materials (videos, images, panels, visuals, unique objects, mood boards) and presented to an internal jury, which selected the most original and deserving projects.

The jury consisted of Caterina Iaquinta (BA in Painting and Visual Arts and MA in Visual Arts and Curatorial Studies Course Leader – Rome, representing the Rome campus), Colomba Leddi (Fashion Design Area Leader, representing the Milan campus), Fulvia Aurino (General Manager, Puig Italia), Adriana Carolina Herrera (Carolina Herrera Beauty Creative Director), Danda Santini (Director of IO Donna), and Barbara Stefanelli (Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Corriere della Sera).

“Carolina Herrera x NABA: supporting Women’s creativity”: the winners

The winners of the Carolina Herrera x NABA: supporting Women’s creativity initiative, proclaimed and awarded at an event with the special participation of Carolina Adriana Herrera, are Martina Lorusso and Martine Hellen Johannessen. Additionally, student Eva Demattè received a special mention.
