The students of the BA in Graphic Design and Art Direction, under the guidance of NABA Creative lab’s lecturers, created the new visual identity for Notti Bianche del Cinema’s communication. Notti Bianche del Cinema is the initiative with which Alice nella Città, the autonomous and parallel section of the Rome Film Fest dedicated to the younger generations, in collaboration with REGIONE LAZIO, participates in the #soloalcinema campaign, the new national plan for the reopening of cinematographic theatres. 48 hours of non-stop events that will start on July 2nd at 8 pm, and which will include previews, meetings, special initiatives, and two night marathons with the involvement of all the professionals of the sector united for a new beginning.

The new visual identity, which also includes the logo, was selected among the many proposals realised by the students during the Creative lab part of the BA’s study path, as the most convincing, highly communicative, and recognisable.

Congratulations to students Susanna Cavenaghi, Camilla Rui, Claudia Veronelli, Edoardo Villa that conceived the proposal, who choose the image of the owl, representing wisdom in ancient iconography, as a symbol of goddess Athena, the protector of the arts and letters. Mistress of the night, always keeping her eyes open to what surrounds her, curious and silent, her gaze is framed by two hands that allow her to see, scrutinize, observe. All actions that people will finally be able to come back to in cinemas, thanks to the experience of the theatre.

Patrizia Moschella, NABA Communication and Graphic Design Area Leader, also compliments the students who designed the logo, following the BA’s teachings and achieving the objective with professionalism: a simple, coherent and immediate solution in the balance of black and white, effective in the chromatic variations as well.

Notti Bianche del Cinema will be accompanied by a single national communication campaign that will collect the programme of live events and screenings, taking place in Rome and the main Italian cities, with the presence of many special guests.
