NABA presents METAL PANIC, the most extensive and comprehensive exhibition ever dedicated to the work of Marcello Maloberti, Visual Arts Area Senior Lecturer at the Milan Campus. Hosted at PAC Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea (Via Palestro 14, Milan), the exhibition will be open until February 9, 2025.

The “METAL PANIC” exhibition project

The exhibition project, resembling a contemporary construction site, stands as a declaration of love to the city of Milan, which has played a fundamental role in shaping the artist’s practice since his early career. Over the years, Marcello Maloberti has explored the connection between art and life through a dynamic interplay of visual and sound languages—including photography, video, performance, installation, objects, and collage—amplified by a strong performative dimension and audience interaction.

Curated by Diego Sileo, “METAL PANIC” is conceived as an artist’s book that weaves together the key themes of Maloberti’s work, featuring a selection of pieces from the 1990s, more recent works, and previously unseen productions.

Students and Alumni from the Visual Arts Area participating in the exhibition’s performances include Francesca Caporali, Camilla Napoleone, Aurora Capuano, Sasha Gallicchio, and Rebeka Xhaxha. Alumna Francesca Grossi contributed as Maloberti’s Studio Manager.
