A networking event dedicated to animation film lovers, students, and professionals: NABA supports Aperitoon. On Friday, July 1, the Media Design and New Technologies Area introduces itself at Isola del Cinema - Cinelab. The Academy's lecturers will focus on the link between didactics and production - a factor characterising the NABA didactic offer and new courses. The location is on the Tiber Island, in Piazza San Bartolomeo all'Isola in Rome. The event starts at 9:15 PM, and the entrance is free.
NABA and a look at animation films
Aperitoon is the most popular networking event for animation enthusiasts and professionals. In an informal setting, artists, students, journalists, filmmakers, culture promoters, broadcasters and producers take stock of sector state of the art. NABA offers its contribution by supporting the initiative alongside VFX RIO. Furthermore, it takes the opportunity to give an overview of the upcoming Media Design and New Technologies Area didactic offer: the BA in Film and Animation in Milan and Rome*; the Academic Master in Screenwriting for Series in Rome* aimed at training professionals in the field of writing for audiovisuals. It is a chance to learn more about the Virtual Production works realised in the Virtual Set of the Milan campus and about the first approaches to animation with the Unreal Engine software. The NABA panel also explores all the creative possibilities of the space for real-time special effects (VFX) production and XR (mixed reality) live sets and events design.
Besides the alumna Silvia Lamacchia, some prominent lecturers of the Rome and the Milan campus will take the stage at the Isola del Cinema: Vincenzo Cuccia (Media Design and New Technologies, and Set Design Area Leader), Emanuele Lomello (Bachelor of Arts in Creative Technologies Course Leader), Alessandro Elifani (lecturer of the BA in Creative Technologies and in Film and Animation), Stefano Argentero (lecturer of the BA in Film and Animation, sculptor and master of clay animation art).
