The contents of the book and the launch in Rome
Through his theoretical work and the organisation of major exhibitions, Marco Scotini has significantly contributed to imposing the pivotal role of the archive in artistic practice. His book analyses contemporary artists and movements, raising issues and showing new perspectives related to the aesthetics of the archive. It also traces a journey from Italy to China and Africa.
During the launch event on campus, the author of "L'inarchiviabile" will engage in a conversation with Nicolas Martino (curator and NABA lecturer), Marcelo Expósito (artist, critic and NABA lecturer) and Carla Subrizi (Associate Professor of Contemporary Art History - Sapienza University of Rome and president - Baruchello Foundation). The discussion will be moderated by Silvia Simoncelli (NABA Head of Education - Rome).
