NABA gladly announces the winning of the Erasmus+ KA210, one of the small-scale Partnerships in school education, launched on March 2021 by the European Commission, with a highly professionalising research project.
The project “Augmented Reality multi-user virtual spaces”, is connected to Virtual Studio set within NABA campus in Milan and its innovative technologies. It will transform into a didactic platform, for the training of future CGI specialists in the fields of game, animation, and VFX for digital productions.
NABA is one of the first Academies of Fine Arts globally to boast a laboratory dedicated to Virtual Production within its campus, focused on the creation of special effects (VFX) in real time, the design of live sets and events in XR (mixed reality) and animation through the analysis of the movement of real actors, with a stagecraft made of a 20sqm cave ledwall and a professional level motion capture system.
The research project, presented together with Belgrade SAE Institute, partner institution of the initiative, was curated by NABA Research Centre and Innovation Hub, born in October 2021 to link the activities of the Academy in the disciplines of reference and consolidating its positioning at an international level.
