NABA Media Design and News Technologies Area and Triennale Milano are glad to present “Media Explosion. What it is like to be human today” a series of four digital events curated by Leonardo Caffo, philosopher and NABA lecturer, and Amos Bianchi, NABA Media Design and New Technologies Area Leader, as part of the online programme of Triennale Upside Down.
The digital events will take place starting on 10th February at 6 pm with the first lecture with the writer, lecturer, artist and curator Joanna Zylinska, “AI Art: On Human and Machine Creativity”. This lecture will pick up some threads from the author’s recently published book “AI Art: Machine Visions and Warped Dreams” to explore the relationship between AI, creativity and invention.
On 24th February the second Talk will follow, involving Stefano Quintarelli, serial entrepreneur, former professor of IT systems, network and security services; on 10th March, Media Explosion will host an interview to Canadian writer and poet Margaret Atwood; the final event will be writer Lev Manovich’s, taking place on 24th March.
Each one of the digital events will be followed by a Q&A session with the audience, a unique opportunity to discover unusual, radical views of the contemporary relations between media devices and human beings from different perspectives, in the light of the research that the lecturers are carrying out.
The events will be live-streamed on Zoom, and then posted on the website and the YouTube channel of Triennale and NABA. All meetings will be in English with simultaneous translation into Italian.
