The next decade will be characterised by increasingly powerful, invasive, widespread, differentiated technologies that, more importantly, will be active and necessary in the productive practice.
The purpose of this Area introduced in 2019, with its Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes, is to open a dialogue between students and professionals in the fields of: direction, screenwriting, photography direction, theory of arts and media, game design and game development, 2D and 3D animation and modelling, character design, sound editing and design, VFX, creative technology, interaction, UX design, digital and live performance.
The laboratories are the core of this Area, the meeting point for students, faculty and the most advanced media and creative technologies-based methods for the creation of complex and contemporary authorial and research projects. These works are targeted at the world of culture and corporate, for state-of-the-art professional development that can bring professional skills and authorship into the job market.
All Media Design and New Technologies Area courses adopted the Rules for Ethical Behaviour in the Audiovisual Field of Women in Film, Television & Media Italia.
Thanks to the prestigious partnerships established by the Area, confirming the excellence of its didactic methodology and the continuous updating process of its Faculty, the Academy is also a Centre of Excellence for Toon Boom, an Unreal Academic Partner, and certified as a GitHub Campus. NABA is also the first Italian Academy of Fine Arts accredited as Rookies Certified School and Houdini Certified School.
